This afternoon Elieth and I went to Sarchi. Sarchi is one of the activities that the school offers but the tour leaves at noon and I don´t finish class until 2:30. So I hired Werner, a sweet Costa Rican with a German name, to take us. Cost us $34 American which isn´t bad and Werner gave us a special tour. These first pics are of the Alfaro family who have hand made those picturesque carts for over 50 years. The huge one Elieth and I are standing in front of is in the Guiness World Book of Records and was made by the Alfaro family. Everything is made by water power. I´m mad I didn`t take a second shot of the gentleman carving since it´s blurry. But we got an inside look at their workshop that tourists generally don´t get to see. Love ya all. Mimi
