There was an absolutely hilarious show on the history of coffee ( the pope's name is Prospero, BTW) and here are a few of the pics. Then of course, we learned all about how the beans are picked, dried, roasted and then checked for color, aroma, and taste. The unroasted beans can be stored for up to a year and a half. Cafe Britt only roasts per order. If a store orders a ton of light roasted, they roast the beans then and ship out the same day. Cool. Okay, so there you have it. My tour of Cafe Britt. BTW, I read on a website that the best Costa Rican coffee is exported to the U.S. However, I had a cappuchino at Cafe Britt and if it´s not the best, I´d really like to try a cup of the best. I find the coffee here to be superior. I´ll post later. Ta for now and love to all! Mimi
